Simonsez | I did. 1982 I watched San Francisco defeat Cincinnati at the Silver Dome. 49ers won 26-22. "Up With People" was the half time performers. This message has been edited by Simonsez on 02-04-2018 at 08:33 PM |
ALLEY CAT | What a great Super Bowl game tonight,,,, I was glad the Eagles won,,,they were the underdogs in all three post-season games. Eagles QB, Nick Foles..... Arizona Wildcat grad Been a long, long time for Philly to celebrate being the NFL Champions >> Congrats! |
katmat | Was a good game. Could you tell who the 2 tv announcers were rooting for? |
TucsonJer | Wasn’t real hard to guess was it. |
Landscape Doctor | Never been to a Superbowl. In fact never been to a pro sports game. Hate crowds. I watched 5 regular season games this year and the Superbowl. I was not into it this year as past years because of the nealing bs,,, so I was not bothered by the loss. Philly played a great game, Foles was unbelievable. The kid is going places. Congrats Philly,, the best team won. |

Matt,,, I wouldn't go as far as saying Al Michaels was bias,,, but Chris Collingsworth may as well been wearing a Patriots jersey while doing the broadcast.. His nose was obvious brown with Patriots crap stuck on it while calling two Eagle touchdown passes as 'incomplete'. Collingsworth needs to stick to making commercials instead of being in the broadcast booth. |
Marty Usher | Never been to a Superbowl and only to a handful of NFL games in person. I did not watch a single play of an NFL game this year much less an entire game. Tuned into the Superbowl and saw everyone standing, no comments I considered political (thought maybe Pink would make a comment after singing the National Anthem but I was wrong) were made so I watched and enjoyed a pretty darn good football game - unless you were a defensive coach!! |
quincy | This topic should be re-named to "who can afford to go to a super bowl". I understand tickets cost a college education... |

I am not sure about that.....have you looked at the price of college tuition lately? But I do agree that ticket prices for sporting events and concerts are TOTALLY out of whack and something needs to be done with the robots being able to buy up all the tickets almost immediately when they are released for sale. Good thing I still get so much enjoyment out of cruising the backroads....just hope the price of gasoline doesn't spike back to over $4.00 a gallon anytime soon. |
ed monahan | I disagree about Cris Collinsworth and Al Michaels. They were very effusive in their praise of the daring play calling by the Eagles coach. Also, C C stated he can't wait until they change the stupid rule about "finishing the play" when they are in control of ball and go out of bounds or into the end zone and then the ball gets dislodged ONLY if it is a pass play. I thought both calls were very close and could go either way. I predicted the N.E. turnover with 2:05 left in the game. They were overdue for a bad break, especially at the end of a game. |
